Welcome to the 7th Wave Blog.

An online home for all things photographic, general rants and vibes in a 7thwave stylee.

Well here we are coming towards the end of June and it feels like bleedin’ October. It’s been peeing down for virtually 3 weeks and frankly…I’ve had enough. As someone who suffers from Seasonal Adjustment Disorder it’s all been a bit hard to hack. Everyone was so happy at the prospect of Global warming turning the UK into a Mediterranean paradise that they forgot to read the small print. Namely that with the milder weather we’ll just get wetter summers not warmer ones. In fact one scenario predicts that with global warming and the melting of the Greenland Ice sheet, increased cold water currents running down the Eastern seaboard of the USA will effectively block the gulf stream from heading North East. Causing the seas around the UK to become colder. Colder seas + warmer air = shed loads more rain.
Bloody hell this is turning into a grim first post on the new blog!

Anyway that’s all by the by but the weather has seriously scuttled many a planned photography trip in recent weeks. I like low light as much as the next photonurd but overcast just don’t float my boat.
I’ve nearly forgotten what the beach at Welcombe actually looks like.
