Open Studios 2007

Just a quick post to let you know about this years Open Studios event. It’s a chance to come and meet a group of artists, makers, crafts people & photographers where they live and work. It’s organised by a few members of Welcombe Arts of which I am one (Of course) and will hopefully promote all the brilliant stuff that is going on in this, a few square miles, of North Devon. Last years event was really good fun and well attended. It’s nice to meet & chat with people about your work as well as see your friends work in a different light and setting. There are some new folk taking part this year as well so it should be an interesting weekend. Took it down at the beach week before last when the high winds had whipped up a few days of big messy swell. The sea had been relatively calm for weeks and the spume or ‘Guiness head’ was amazing. Anyway it’s been flat as a pancake this last week but swell is on the way, so forgive me if I don’t go taking pix tommorrow, it’s time to wax up the board at last! Whoopee.
